Ascend, The University of Texas at Dallas Chapter

      The Ascend chapter at the UT Dallas is one of the largest student chapters. We are committed to fostering the next generation of Asian finance, accounting and business leaders. Mentorship, leadership training, ongoing resume and interview critique, company visits, networking events, and professional/technical development courses are provided to supplement formal university education.

      Ascend is the premier professional organization dedicated to enabling its members, business partners and the community to leverage the leadership and global business potential of Pan-Asians.

      We are a lifelong organization supporting the duration of our members careers - from undergraduate through to executive level. Membership is open to individuals of all ethnic and professional backgrounds, ages and geographic locations. We are a 501(c)6 non-profit organization.

Our Membership

      Membership is open to those who share our mission regardless of ethnicity and professional background. The majority of our 5,000+ members are from fields where there are high concentrations of Asians - accounting, financial services, technology, engineering, professional services, and others in business, government, academia and the community.

Our Community

      Asian Americans have cultural origins from more than thirty-two ethnic groups. Of those, six major groups account for more than 95 percent of the Asian Americans in the United States: Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese.

      The Asian American and Pacific Islander population in the U.S. (hereafter referred to as "Asians") is a rapidly growing, affluent and highly educated population.

      The role that this group plays in the global marketplace continues to grow with the economic growth of Asia, especially China, India and Southeast Asia.

      The convergence of all these indicators demonstrates that Asian professionals are a critical element of business growth strategies and represent a pipeline of strong talent for companies.
